Camiguin Island is a very beautiful and green island, it is not crowded at all and kept is pristine charm. One can find really tranquility in the place and on the other hand experience a lot of adventures. Camiguin Island is not any longer a secret place: it is promoted by many travel agencies because that wonderful place is probably one of the best sights in Mindanao. People are friendly and greet visitors with “Hello friend” instead of the common “Hello Joe” which is heard all over the 7107 islands. Camiguin Island is known to the island "Born of Fire" because it has 7 volcanoes and several volcanic domes. It is said that land movements and volcanic eruptions made this lovely island.

Camiguin Island is famous for the ancestral homes dotting the streets all over the island. Camiguin Island is known for its splendid beaches and wonderful nature. Many tourists come to the island because of the wonders that it can offer to the visitors. Camiguin Island is a well-known tourist resort in the northern part of Mindanao. From Cagayan de Oro, it took us one hour to drive to a small town where a ferryboat brought us to this island resort.

Camiguin Island is the best place for diving adventure . Burias Shoal is the best diving site in Camiguin because it is filled with the fascinating exotic marine life and different fish species . Camiguin island is the show’s main event. Amongst all this will be live music created by locals. Camiguin Island is brimming with life, albeit not the usual city life we are so accustomed to, but life in general. Trees, plants, birds, insects, sea creatures and more can be found in the island, freely living, as they should be. Camiguin Island is known as the "Island Born of Fire", because of its seven volcanoes that eventually creates a lot of natural areas to discover and explore. It is said to be the home of lanzones (lansones) too, a small grape-sized tropical fruit grown all over the island, in which Lanzones Festival occurs every October. It is known for its white-sand beaches, spring resorts and magnificent caves untouched by industrial development. Camiguin Island is not yet one of the most popular destinations in the Philippines, and as a result, it is not yet very developed for tourists. This, however, is part of its charm.
