Trade is limited to a small line of arts and crafts all pain- stakingly handmade (which makes the products more appealing to connoisseurs and discriminating collectors).

It is famous for its Banaue Rice Terraces which have been made 2,000 years ago. Banaue is one of the leading tourist destinations in the Philippines and in Asia. The popularity of the place is linked to one single natural wonder - the rice terraces . Banaue is well connected with the capital city of Manila and other important parts of Philippines.

Banaue Rice Terraces boasts of its colorful terrains especially during summer when the rice plants start to ripen, making the terraces a total scene of wealth. The golden shade that the rice plants create gives hope to the farmers of Ifugao every time the harvest season is nearing. Banaue rice terraces were carved in the mountains of Ifugao Philippines by our ancestors of the Batad Indigenous people. This 2000 year old Banaue rice terraces has also been recognized as one of the "Eighth Wonder of the World".

Banaue  rice terraces are 1,500 meters (5,000 ft) above sea level and cover more than 10,000 square kilometers (4,000 square miles) of mountainside. It is said that if the plots were laid out next to each other, they would cover a distance of about 25,000 km (10,000 ft).  In Sagada Caves you will find the hanging coffins and mummies bound along the cliff sides and inside the limestone caves. Banaue is indeed a place for meditation.
